My name is Stacy Starman and I am a 6th grade science and social studies teacher at Parkview Middle School, Creve Coeur District 76, in Creve Coeur, Illinois. I have been with Parkview since 1999. This is my twentieth year in the sixth grade and twenty-third year as a teacher. My education started in Pekin, Illinois for both grade and high school. I moved on to Illinois Central College and Illinois State University for my Associates and Bachelor's Degrees in Education, which I acquired in 1997. While teaching at Parkview, I had the fortunate opportunity to earn my Master's in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University in 2002. I received my second Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University Chicago in December 2017. I am an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and, if you ever visit the classroom, you will recognize that I am a HUGE fan of Snoopy and Peanuts and Minions.

This website, starman.weebly.com, is a new venture for me. The aim of this website is to provide direct and up to date communication to parents, celebrate student achievements, and provide fun, educational opportunities to enhance student learning through the internet.
The homepage will be a running blog of information, updates and new ideas. I will post as and when I have something new to tell you, but it will not replace letters that are sent home from school. The rest of the site will likely evolve and grow over time, so bookmark me and check back often!
What about student privacy?
Using technology in education is a strong interest of mine, and one that is becoming increasingly prevalent in our world today. It offers exciting new opportunities that we may never once have imagined. However, I am mindful that some parents may have concerns over privacy or security, and rightly so. No student names, assignments, photos or other details will appear on this website without express permission from parents, and can be removed at any time. Please feel free to email me, or call the school if you have any further questions, comments or suggestions.
